The Origin Of Loki The God Of Mischief

With The new Loki  series around the  corner  I  thought to  talk  about  the origin  of   the god of mischief  and  his role  plays in the MCU  and the comics. Unlike  other Marvel villains   Loki  didn't come  from  the  comics   he already  existed in Norse Mythology  and  had his own background.   It  appears  that  Marvel comics adapted him and  his  brother into  the Marvel verse  to  give  him a motive  to become one of the most popular comic book villains.

In norse  mythology Loki  is known for  his  Family  issues,  mischief  and  his  obsession to launch the twilight of  the  gods.  His ambition is  universe  domination  using Ragnarok to  overthrow his father.  Loki  has also  cursed and tricked mortals  with  his magic   for  his own  amusement.   In the comics and his myth  he has clashed with his brother  many times for the throne.  Loki has also appeared in movies  and anime to cause some trouble.

Known as  one of  the villains to the avengers  Loki plays a unique role in the MCU  that  changes  his personality making him into a brand new  character.    In  the beginning    loki  has  his  regular  goal of world domination and obsession for the throne.  In this adaptation Loki was  portrayed by Tom  Hiddleston. He is  an orphan adopted by Odin    with a tyrannical complex to prove his superiority to his  brother.  Loki decides to help Thanos   conquer the earth  for  his  own benefit.    After his failure the  god goes  through a personality change  full of tricks  and betrayals. Faking his own death    and taking control of as Asgard  by traping  his  father.  In the climax  of the saga  he steals an infinity stone and sacrifices himself to protect  the asgardians  giving him a good redeemable ending.

Due to  his popularity in the MCU  he managed to  get a solo shot.  During the final  avengers movie time travel was used.    In that   time travel adventure a  past  Loki escaped and  vanished from the MCU  for a while.  Due to the laws of time travel and the multiverse theory people still though he was alive.  A  month later disney  plus released a show  based on him.  this show takes place after his escape.  Fans  wonder where the god of mischief went and what he will do.  everything will be revealed in the new Disney+ series Loki coming out this summer.
