Concluding the short. Pokemon Journeys after staffing problems people thought that the anime was canceled but they were all wrong. On December 16th 2022 after the conclusion of Pokemon Journeys the Pokemon anime community went on an uproar thanks to three announcements. The first one was a special that aired yesterday featuring AU Ash who has been part of the community or 5 years. The Second one was a doozy it was based on a doubleheader of a new anime series based on the generation nine coming out in April, but the interesting thing was the Ash Ketchum was not on the cover. That brought suspicion on the community till the third reveal which stated the following. Ash Ketchum will be leaving the anime really soon. Attached to that it stated that there will be an 11 episode series or epilogue concluding Ash's story.
we will examine each piece of news carefully beginning by talking about the first piece of news the special that aired yesterday, featuring alternate version of Ash who has participated in the media for the last five years. In 2017 the anime community gave us a new version of Ash. with his own story. This story was only based on him and pikachu so none of the events that happened in the original anime eve occurred. This gave him the name Alternative Universe Ash witch has been in three different original movies. So having a special dedicated to him raised some question specially because they were using the same animation style from the original series.
The second and third one was a combination. First off was Ash and Pikachu leaving the anime after 25 years. which makes sense after last months historical achievement which made the internet crazy. Due to the pokemon scarlet and violet game story doesn't match his journey after that big achievement. Thats why, the anime decided to give him an 11 episode conclusion to finish up his story. This 11 episode conclusion takes place after the Journeys series like an epilogue. This shocked the fans who grew up with him wondering how his story will close after 25 years.
As for the final piece of news the new generation 9 pokemon anime featuring a new protagonist named Rinko a girl that grew up in Paldea the generation 9 region. Now that we have a new protagonist the anime fans have a chance to start something new. Will this new character last as long as Ash we shall find out soon.
Those are the three announcements surrounding. the pokemon anime. Will getting rid of ash Ketchum prime affect the future of the show. How v will they use AU Ash for future films specials and maybe cameos. The biggest mystery of all how will the new anime affect the community. Lets see how Rinko will change the anime permanently. who knows maybe she can surpass Ash the former hero of this beloved anime.
